Vusion Acquires In-Store Media to Expand Digital Retail Ad Network
Vusion combines connected store technology with retail media expertise to unlock advertising potential inside physical retail locations.
Vusion, the Paris-based global leader in AI-powered digitalization solutions for physical commerce, has completed its acquisition of In-Store Media (ISM), the company announced Oct. 29, 2026. The deal marks a strategic pivot toward monetizing the largely untapped advertising inventory that exists within brick-and-mortar retail environments.
The combination brings together Vusion's connected store infrastructure — which spans electronic shelf labels, sensors, and real-time data platforms — with ISM's established retail media capabilities. Together, the companies aim to offer brands and retailers an integrated solution for delivering targeted digital advertising at the point of purchase, a space that has historically lagged behind the rapid growth of e-commerce advertising.

Physical stores have long represented a significant share of overall consumer spending, yet the in-store advertising market has remained fragmented and largely analog compared with digital channels. The merger positions Vusion and ISM to help close that gap by layering programmatic and data-driven media tools onto existing store technology networks.
The acquisition signals broader momentum in the retail media sector, where major grocery chains and mass merchandisers have already moved aggressively to build digital ad businesses online. Extending those networks into physical aisles could represent a substantial new revenue stream for retailers willing to deploy the requisite connected infrastructure.
Vusion trades on the Euronext Paris exchange under the ticker VU. Continue reading at All Financial Services & Investing.
