BitPay Adds One-Tap Crypto Buying via Apple Pay and Google Pay
BitPay has launched a streamlined in-app crypto purchase feature powered by MoonPay, supporting Apple Pay, Google Pay, cards, and SEPA in 100+ countries.
BitPay, the longest-operating cryptocurrency payments company, has rolled out a one-tap crypto buying experience for eligible BitPay Wallet users across more than 100 countries, the Atlanta-based firm announced Tuesday.
The new checkout flow is powered by MoonPay and integrates multiple payment methods, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, traditional debit and credit cards, and SEPA bank transfers, reducing the friction historically associated with converting fiat currency into digital assets directly within a mobile wallet.

The feature represents a continued push by established crypto payment infrastructure providers to lower barriers for retail users, bringing the purchase experience closer to the simplicity consumers expect from mainstream fintech apps. By embedding MoonPay's on-ramp technology, BitPay aims to cut the number of steps required to fund a wallet without routing users to external exchanges or browser-based flows.
The announcement comes as the broader crypto industry continues to compete on user experience, with payment processors increasingly partnering with on-ramp specialists rather than building proprietary fiat gateways. The availability of SEPA support extends the utility of the feature to European Union bank account holders, widening the addressable user base beyond card-dependent markets.
